Official Rules & Regulations for European Grand Poker Championship 2024
General Tournament Rules
1. Tournament Format: No-Limit Hold'em, single entry tournament
2. Buy-in: €5,000 per entry (no re-entries permitted)
3. Starting Stack: 50,000 chips per player
4. Blind Structure: 20-minute levels for Days 1-2, 30-minute levels for Days 3-4
5. Registration: Registration closes 30 minutes before Day 1 start time
6. Late Registration: Players may register up to Level 6 on Day 1
Playing Rules
7. Action Clock: 30-second action clock with 3 time extensions per player
8. String Betting: Prohibited. All bets must be declared verbally before placing chips
9. All-in Protection: Players must protect their cards at all times
10. Side Pots: All side pots must be clearly separated and counted
11. Showdown: Cards must be shown face up when called
12. Muck Rule: Cards thrown into the muck are considered folded
Player Conduct
13. Electronic Devices: Mobile phones must be silenced and stored away during play
14. Communication: No communication about hands in progress
15. Collusion: Any form of collusion will result in immediate disqualification
16. Alcohol Policy: Alcohol consumption limited to 2 drinks per session
17. Dress Code: Business casual attire required at all times
18. Smoking: Designated smoking areas only
Prize Distribution
19. Payout Structure: Top 15% of field will receive prize money
20. Payment Method: Winnings paid via bank transfer within 30 days
21. Tax Responsibility: Players responsible for all applicable taxes
22. Currency: All prizes paid in Euros (EUR)
23. Tie Breaking: In case of ties, prize money will be split equally
Dispute Resolution
24. Floor Decisions: Floor staff decisions are final
25. Appeals Process: Appeals may be made to the Tournament Director
26. Video Review: All final table hands subject to video review
27. Rulings: Tournament Director has final authority on all rulings
28. Penalties: Penalties range from warnings to disqualification
Special Tournament Rules
29. Final Table: 9-handed final table, 10-minute breaks every 2 levels
30. Heads-up: 5-minute break before heads-up play begins
31. Deal Making: No deal making permitted until final table
32. Media Coverage: Final table subject to live streaming
33. Security: All players subject to security screening
34. Age Requirement: Must be 21 years or older to participate
